Kiira is a perfectly legitimate elven word, and I still think it makes for an okay nickname on its own, but now I can't stop imagining them all toting Death Notes (in which case Nathshalee is actually lucky everyone forgot her preincarnation's name).

Hi, Nae here. I just wanted to prop you on chapter 8 of Remembered Realms -- since I'd already commented on the story once on FFNet, I figured I'd post here instead. The Ilithaine / Theris discussion about deities was just great; Ilithaine especially is really coming out well. If having trouble with a chapter means we readers get dialogue like this, feel free to have a lot more trouble ! =D

That aside -- Kiira with a Death Note is a very scary thought. Especially young Kiira with young Veldrin in tow. What would the world have come to if those kids ready to attempt to raise a zombie army with eye candies and tinsel would have had a Death Note dropped in their hands, preferably complete with Ryuk ? The High Forest would never have been the same.

Hi! I'm glad it came out well for you. Right now I think the main trouble will be the number of hours in the day. Binging on Death Note has its downsides.

Speaking of which, since I posted this entry, I got this whole mental tangent going with which name a reincarnation would have visible with shinigami eyes, which ones would have to be written in the Death Note, and whether the reincarnations of Bhaal, Myrkul, Cyric and Kelemvor might have the eyes as a side perk of the job. (Also, would they love apples?) Plus an idea as to the identity of this 'verse's L-equivalent. I'll have to write down some of that crack one of these days.

Ouch. Yeah, I know what Death Note does to a person. One day you're sitting happily at your computer thinking you're going to get stuff done - be it reading, writing, drawing - and them BAM Death Note comes out of nowhere with big neon signs saying "READ ME", and you make the mistake of listening. Then it's like a train wreck (can't look away even when it gets bad or ridiculous) comboed with a drug (must have more). And even if somehow you dislike the manga, you're still not safe, because the main plot colonizes your head and makes you ponder what-ifs in everything you're currently watching / reading, just about right down to what would happen if your pet goldfish found a Death Note. The brain occupation power of Death Note is frightening. So far the only real cure is to see so many things about it everywhere before reading it that you're disgusted by it by default.

You must triumph from Death Note's evil hold, though ! You have fanfics to write ! Should you fail to escape from its coils, who then will keep writing Remembered Realms ? How would I survive deprived of epic FR fics to click on, with you off into Shinigamiland and Lord Onisyr done with The Lesser Evil ?

Yeah okay so I sort of lack good arguments. But still. Fight !!

Also, crack plot idea looks cracklicious. Failing a Death Note escape, do feel free to write that one down. Myrkul with apples is win. Might look a bit freakish chained to Realms-L, though. But how would Realms-L live with no sugar cubes to pile into his coffee ? Sounds suspicious !
