The laundry room breeds insanity or something

A while ago, a girl bitched me out because when the timer on the dryer went off (by the way, our dryers are in extremely short supply, especially since half of them broke) I had the audacity to assume that she was done (she, by the way, was not there when the timer went off). I could kindasorta see her logic since her clothes were not in fact dry (I think they later discovered that one was broken too), but this new incident leaves Earth logic far behind.
This one bitched me out because I took her "sopping, soaking WET" clothes out of the washing machine, which tends to do that to clothes (hence the use of dryers!) and put them on the tables conveniently situated for the loads of absentee laundry-doers. I asked her where the hell else was I supposed to put them (with less language) and she said I was supposed to LEAVE THEM THERE. IN THE WASHER. Until a DRYER FREED UP. Let me just take this moment to say that there are currently two functioning dryers (and four washers) and everyone seems to put on their stuff for an hour and a half. Let me just take this moment to say that nobody has ever extended me the same "courtesy" and in fact I'd just retrieved my last washer load from one of those tables. Let me just take this moment to say that it's going to be equally wet in or out of the fucking washer, the main difference being whether or not the washer is free for OTHER CLOTHES BEING WASHED.
Unfortunately I did not say any of this to her. Instead I gave her the Dumbfounded Stare all through her little lecture. And I think I recognize her face and if I do it's even more depressing because the other somewhat similar face-owner I remember was actually very sweet to me at one point and GOD I hope they're not actually the same people because that would be just ARGH ARGH ARGH. I don't remember the same accent from the other time, though, and that gives me a speck of hope.
ETA: Stuck a note on the dryer she had going and we met again. Circular discussion ensued, with a good chunk more Dumbfounded Staring, but at least I said it.
